Colorful Events are on the way in COLOR CHINA 2008

On 25th October China Fashion & Color Association (CFCA) hosted a press conference at Dahongmen Conference Centre. Its Color China 2008 Programme was introduced. The memory is still fresh about the spectacular 2006 “Color China” Color Awards Ceremony in March this year. With participation of domestic and international professionals and businesses, this event is going onto a bigger arena. Color China has become a famous brand, not only in the industry but also beyond.

The press conference was attended by some distinguished guests: Mr. Wang Zengjing, Deputy Director of former Department of Textile Industry and Consultant of CFCA; Mr. Chen Shujin, Vice Chairman of China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC); Mr. Li Chaogang, Head of Fengtai District; Mr. Chi Zongjun, General Manager of China Textile News; Mr. Tong Zhiqi, General Manager of China Fashion Weekly; Mr. Xu Bo, Editor-in-chief of Fashion Times; Mr. Chen Zhongcai, Secretary Generel of Communist Committee of Nanyuan County and Chairman of Dahongmen Clothing Association; Mr. Luo Jianfan, President of PacLantic. Ms. Zhu Sha, Secretary General of CFCA hosted the conference.

Executive Vice Chairman of CFCA, Mr. Liang Yong first delivered a welcome speech. He said that after years of hard work by CFCA together with companies in the color application industry, Chinas color industry has seen some real growth. Color China has been more and more functioning as a lighthouse in the color application area. On the stage of Color China, more and more businesses are displaying their colorful works.

Mr. Liang went further to review the works CFCA had achieved over the past 12 months. In less than a years time, 30 Chinese companies became CFCA Color R & D Centre or CFCA Application Model Centre. 4th Asian Color Forum, which took place in Wuxi, established a communication channel for businesses in Asia. Companies talked and learned from each other through this channel.

Mr. Chen, the vice chairman of CNTAC, sounded very positive in this speech. New Chinas textile industry has experienced some tremendous growth especially since the introduction of the Open Door policy some 30 years ago. In the world wide textile business, China has established a solid position, after constant reforms and innovations. He also congratulated CFCA for all the achievements. CFCA focuses on cooperation between the Association and businesses, combining color research/forecasting/trend releasing with design development/brand building/marketing. CFCAs experience in application of R & D works deserves promotion.

Next to speak at the conference was Mr. Zhou Yifu, deputy Secretary General of CFCA. He went through the programme for Color China 2008, which will take place from 27th to 29th March 2008 at Dahongmen Conference Centre. The major events include: Color China 2008 Opening Dinner, Color China 2007 Color Awards Ceremony, Color China 2007 Awards Exhibition, 2008 International Color/Design/Trends Forum, Color Fortune Forum, Trends Release of China Fashion Brands.

Mr. Luo from PacLantic delivered his words on behalf of CFCA Children Wear Color R & D Centre. Luo said that establishment of Color R & D centres could be a win-win partnership between the CFCA and his business. The Association can play an important role in terms of helping the business conduct color design/management/marketing in order to enhance competitiveness, especially in the global market. Businesses are and will always be the beneficiary.

Mr. Chen from Dahongmen Clothing Association, the co-host of the event, introduced the current development and plans for the future. He also briefed the audience about the 5-day 2007 Beijing Dahongmen International Fashion Fair. The Fair would be  around the theme of Brands, Vitality and Fashion. The series of events would showcase, through multimedia, multi formats, multi perspectives, the Now and the Future of Dahongmen CBD (clothing business centre). Being energetic and fashioable, Dahongmen is becoming a district for R & D, designing, manufacturing, trading, logistics, exhibitions, service and brands, a core component of Beijings plan to be an international fashion city. Dahongmen will be the most economically active region in the south of Beijing.

Color China has been held three times. The achievements are noticeable. It is hoped that it can continue functioning as a model for China’s color industry, in terms of application and innovation, making Made-in-China products more competitive and boosting a faster growth for China’s fashion industry. The public will be educated in terms of color and fashion through the programme. Color China will also develop itself in our ever changing environment, delivering what is expected from it.
